Repairs and alterations

 

For those of you who have a broken piece of jewellery you would love to wear again but simply don't know where to take it, we offer a repairs and alterations service at Peckham Levels. Please contact us to arrange an appointment. In some cases we will be able to advise on a repair from a good photograph.

With years of experience in this area assessment and advice for your piece is readily available. For common repairs see the price guide below, variations being dependent on a standard or more complex solution and materials involved.

Chain and catches

It is sometimes possible to repair a chain at the break depending on the design. Catches, especially trigger clasps, may need to be replaced.  If a new catch is needed this has to be made or ordered therefore it isn't included in the repair price.

Pearl and bead restringing 

£30-£60 without knotting. If knotting is required this will be extra. Please note a small charge for ordering the appropriate thread if I don't have it in stock.

Stone resetting or replacement 

For stone resetting or replacement as in the featured signet ring image, this will require inspection of the piece. Please contact me to arrange an appointment.

TLC

A TLC for your piece to get it looking like new. Cleaning and polishing.
